Forecasts of high winds discouraged visits to higher hills so groups dispersed to explore the Tummel, the hills and woods to Killiecrankie, Ben Vrackie or the unknown until now of the delights of Crungie Dubh and Crungie Clach. After which Burn’s Night was celebrated in traditional style. Sunday was much more overcast and windy, but a group explored the Tummel between Garry Bridge and Coronation Bridge whilst another sought a four poster stone circle beyond the Allean Forest above Loch Tummel.
